LM386 Guitar Amplifier Kit

Our take on the Ruby guitar amplifier project. Based on the LM386 power amplifier IC, this simple circuit delivers a surprising amount of volume, tone and character making an ideal "cigar box" practice amplifier.
Output can be sent directly to an 8 Ohm loudspeaker of your own choice.
Separate volume and gain controls allow you to add controlled distortion at any volume.

• PCB
• Metal Film Resistors
• 10k Log PCB Mount Potentiometer
• 1k Linear PCB Mount Potentiometer
• Electrolytic & Polyester Capacitors
• Surface mount J201 JFET - this can be supplied pre-fitted to the PCB as an option.
• Terminal Blocks
• Schematic and construction guide notes.

You might want to add a jack socket, battery clip or power supply socket, loudspeaker and enclosure to complete your project.
